Sigh…  This dining room is just too-too.
A couple of things:
The wall hanging on the wall is a boucherouite rug, super gorgeous.  But doesn’t it remind you of the old-school corny latch hook rug kits that you maybe did as a kid?  If you had an abstract painting that you loved, it might be easy to do in a latch hook fashion.  My brain is scrambling to try and figure something out.  It might be time to get out the paints and get inspired…
Eames chairs in almost the perfect color yellow.  Yum.
How’d they get such a beautiful flat, dark color on the wall?  Chalkboard paint.

I’m in like flynn…

With neon still raging its electric head, you can’t quite escape it this season.  I’m ok with it, even though technically, I wore the trend the first time back in the day.  (uh oh, dating myself!)  Neon clothing is tough to pull off for your average fashion layperson, but accessories?  Sign me up!  Brights are easy to manage in smaller doses.

I am in LOVE, no, swooning (!) over this DIY from Honestly… WTF.  They paired up with Gretchen Jones to create this perfect spring/summer accessory!

I foresee an afternoon with a good friend, crafting this beauty over a glass of wine or two…

Are you in?

P.S.  Want to wear a bright color, but a little bit shy?  Take your tip from their photo:  pair most any bright with most any neutral (grey, black, navy, tan, beige).   You’ll find the color not so scary, I promise!

I’ve posted this room before, and it’s too good to pass up a second time.  This room is simple, but powerful.  A couple of thoughts:
The cloud artwork in the corner is DIY, which makes me wonder about the other artwork.
I love the eiffel chairs with the cozy sheepskins, a great contrast for the rough, rustic table.
The rug is a smidge too small, but perfect.  So what do you do? Pop it on top of a sea grass rug.  Clever!
I love how their countertop is cluttered with appliances.  A lived in home…

Crush du jour…

Ohdeargod: something new to go gaga over.  Pompom necklaces?!?  I’m swooning-head-over-heels in love.  Buy these lovelies by Nicole Akong here, or get inspired and follow some simple directions and make your own.

(Not enough of a pom-pom fix?  Check out what they did here…)

I’m “signing myself up” for turban lessons over at B. Jones Style.  My favorite is the second style, with the big top knot front and center.  I’m trying to figure out a time and place to test-drive that bad boy…
