Proof that Victorians had the best jewelry ever: Fly earrings. ’Nuff said.
These babies immediately made the fashion bucket list.

With neon still raging its electric head, you can’t quite escape it this season. I’m ok with it, even though technically, I wore the trend the first time back in the day. (uh oh, dating myself!) Neon clothing is tough to pull off for your average fashion layperson, but accessories? Sign me up! Brights are easy to manage in smaller doses.
I am in LOVE, no, swooning (!) over this DIY from Honestly… WTF. They paired up with Gretchen Jones to create this perfect spring/summer accessory!
I foresee an afternoon with a good friend, crafting this beauty over a glass of wine or two…
Are you in?
P.S. Want to wear a bright color, but a little bit shy? Take your tip from their photo: pair most any bright with most any neutral (grey, black, navy, tan, beige). You’ll find the color not so scary, I promise!

I have a weakness for vintage jewelry. I love the idea that the ring, earrings or necklace I wear have graced someone’s woes and laughter. For better for worse, and they’re still hanging around. What would they say?
Go visit eriebasin, love of my vintage jewelry life…

1880s Turquoise & Diamond Band, 15K, English, $475
Portland, Ore charm bracelet purchased at an antique store while on vacation. We only popped in because my Mum wanted to stop by her gluten-free bakery. They were out of cupcakes, so mum walked out empty handed, but I was lucky: I found the bracelet and a couple of other choice goodies.
Vacation and home remembrance…
Antique jewelry fiend? Look no further, and please, please, don’t hate me later on after you’ve depleted your bank account on golden beauties…
Erie Basin is, simply put, amazing.
My favorites are this, this and this. Sigh…

Ohdeargod: something new to go gaga over. Pompom necklaces?!? I’m swooning-head-over-heels in love. Buy these lovelies by Nicole Akong here, or get inspired and follow some simple directions and make your own.
(Not enough of a pom-pom fix? Check out what they did here…)
I feel like statement necklaces are really hot this season. Well, now that I think about it, statement necklaces have been hot for quite a few seasons, at least it seems to me.
This particular one feels familiar, yet somehow nice and fresh. I love the mixed metals, the shorter length and the variety of stones (turquoise and carnelian are always perfect for spring/summer). Once you take all that into consideration, this necklace is all kinds of perfect. What say you? And hey, let us not forget the $58 price point.
Pretty really is as pretty does…
